The coach of the Under 18 national team declared that Romania was underestimated by the opponents at the World Championships from Heerenveen (Netherlands), and that only one point decided the winner.

“Romania was not taken seriously at this WC, but we were very well prepared. This is a very good generation, which started their journey with the “Phoenix program”, they proved themselves in Tallin at the U20 WC last year, and 80 percent of the boys were present in the Netherlands also. The boys have trained very hard and this showed, a substantial contribution to the victories were brought by those who play in foreign championships. Each player had an important role in this team, and each of them has done a great job for the team! Unfortunately the promotion of Romania depended on a single point, but hopefully we will have more success in the near future”, said Keresztes.

The senior national team of Romania will debut on Sunday, the Orthodox Easter's Sunday, against the Netherlands at the World Championship Division I, Group B from Krynica (Poland).

Coach Tom Skinner is very optimistic about this edition of the World Championship, saying that the national team of Romania wants to gather eight points.

Coach Tom Skinner announced the group of players who will represent Romania at the senior World Championship Division I, Group B which will be held in Krynica (Poland) between the 15th and the 21st of April.

The 22 players are coming from the Romanian champion, HSC Csikszereda (15), ASC Corona Brașov (4), Steaua Rangers (2) and Tingsryd (Sweden, 1).

The Romanian delegation will leave tonight to Spsska Nova Ves (Slovakia), for the last stage of the preparations for the WC, after which they will head to Krynica.
